Health and wellbeing

Supporting the local community

Access to secure employment is closely linked to improved mental and physical health, reducing stress, enhancing financial stability, and addressing health disparities in deprived areas. By creating new opportunities at Gonerby Moor, we aim to support people of all ages and backgrounds to build skills, access work, and sustain employment as they age, fostering healthier, more resilient communities.

Biodiversity

Supporting the environment

We are committed to ensuring that any scheme delivered at Gonerby Moor works for local wildlife, as well as the local community. As part of the proposals, we will be delivering new landscaping on the boundary of the site to provide screening alongside new habitats for wildlife. We are also committed to delivering a BREEAM Excellent best in class rating by incorporating sustainability measures wherever possible.

Sustainability

Promoting sustainable travel

As part of the proposals, we are looking at ways in which we can incorporate and enhance opportunities for sustainable modes of transport, including walking, cycling and public transport. By promoting sustainable travel, we can reduce pressures on local roads and work collaboratively to combat climate change.

Design

Designing for a sustainable future

We are keen to minimise our carbon footprint at every stage of this project, from construction to long-term operation. By prioritising efficient design, we will seek to incorporate sustainable building materials, energy-efficient technologies and innovative construction methods that reduce waste and carbon emissions.
